Ardabil ( Samin & Linnavuori 2011), East Azarbaijan ( Modarres Awal 1997a; Dordaie et al., 2000; Ghahari et al. 2010b), Fars, Guilan, Isfahan, Mazandaran, West Azarbaijan ( Modarres Awal 1997a), Khorasan ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999), Sistan & Baluchestan ( Kiritshenko 1966), Tehran ( Hoberlandt 1959; Babmorad 1993; Modarres Awal 1997a).

Host records from Iran. Populus diversifolia (Salicaceae) ( Kiritshenko 1966), Populus sp. ( Khial & Sadraei 1984; Modarres Awal 1997a; Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999), Salix sp. ( Modarres Awal 1997a).

General distribution. From South European Territory of Russia to Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, North-West China, and Mongolia ( Péricart & Golub 1996; Lis 2001a).
