Biology. Xerothermic grasslands. Adults occur in IV–X ( Dieckmann 1977). On Asteraceae : Carduus acanthoides ( Dieckmann 1977; Alonso-Zarazaga 1991; Wanat 1995); Cynara scolymus ( Dieckmann 1977) ; Carduus crispus , C. nutans , C. pycnocephalus , Centaurea diffusa , C. jacea , C. solstitialis , Cirsium arvense , C. vulgare , Picnomon acarna , Silybum marianum ( Alonso-Zarazaga 1991; Wanat 1995).
