Distribution. Europe, Asia Minor, Levant, Kazakhstan, North Africa ( Colonnelli 2013).

Biology. Steppes, stony slopes, agricultural habitats. Adults occur in IV–VIII ( Lohse 1983n). On Amaryllidaceae : Allium cepa , A. oleraceum , A. porrum , A. ursinum , A. vineale ( Hoffmann 1954; Dieckmann 1972b; Smreczyński 1974); A. schoenoprasum ( Dieckmann 1972b; Smreczyński 1974); A. sativum , A. sphaerocephalon ( Kryzhanovskaya 1977) ; Muscari sp. ( Asparagaceae ) ( Hoffmann 1954; Colonnelli 2004a).
