Distribution. Central and East Europe, Caucasus, Asia Minor, Iran ( Colonnelli 2013).

Material examined. Donetsk Prov.: 5 spec. ( FRC) 3, 5 km SSE of Kramatorsk , deciduous gully forest, on Symphytum sp., R. V. Filimonov leg., 29.iv.2013 ; Kharkiv Prov.: 1 spec. ( ZIN) Zmiiv Distr., Gaydary, left bank of Siversky Donets River , oak forest, K.S. Nadein leg., 19.v.2002 ; Luhansk Prov.: 3 spec. ( ZIN) Provallya , Luhansk env., Talicky leg., 15.v.1928 ; 6 spec. ( ZIN) idem, 16.v.1928 ; 1 spec. ( ZIN) idem, 14.vi.1929 .

Biology. Deciduous forests, shrublands. Adults occur in V–VI. On Symphytum tuberosum (Boraginaceae) ( Penecke 1928; Smreczyński 1974; Lohse 1983n; Colonnelli 2004a).
