Distribution. Holarctic (excluding North Africa and Middle East) ( Colonnelli 2013).
Biology. Forests and floodplains, up to 1000 m a.s.l; abundant in old logging plots. Adults occur in V–VIII. In Ukraine monophagous on Chamerion angustifolium (Onagraceae) .
