Distribution. SE Europe, Middle East, Transcaucasia, Iran, Middle Asia, West Siberia, Mongolia (Alonso- Zarazaga et al. 2017).
Material examined. 85 specimens ( ZIN, SIZK, KUMN, ZMUSK NSPU, ZMUM, IMC, SKC, SSC) from 11 provinces were studied. Dnipro Prov .: 1 spec. ( KUMN) Dnipro, M. Bogorodsky leg., 19.iv.1920 ; Donetsk Prov.: 1 spec. ( KUMN) Horlivka, 1962; Kropyvnytskyi Prov .: 1 spec. ( ZIN) Kropyvnytskyi [= Yelizavetgrad], Ye. Yatsentovskyi leg., 5.v.1905 ; Mykolaiv Prov.: 2 spec. ( SIZK) Ochakiv Distr. , Porutino, Olvia Reserve, S. V. Volovnik leg., 24.v.1982 ; 1 spec. ( SIZK) Kazanka Distr. , Vladimirovka, Forestry, forest edge, 19.vii.1954 ; 1 spec. ( IMC) Berezanka Distr. , Kobleve, 12.viii.1940 .
Biology. Salty and ruderal habitats. Adults occur in III–VIII. Oligophagous on Chenopodioideae (Amaranthaceae) .
