Distribution. SE Europe, Caucasus, Iran, Central Asia, SW Siberia ( Alonso-Zarazaga 2013)

Material examined. Odesa Prov.: 1 spec. ( NC) Odesa Distr., shore of Sukhoy Lyman, near Ilyitshevsk port, on sand, 46°19.4512'N, 30°40.8927'E, O.D. Nekrasova leg., 17.viii.2011 GoogleMaps .

Biology. Sandy habitats. Adults occur in VIII. On Convolvulaceae ( Arnoldi et al. 1965)

Note. Discovery of A. karelini in north Black Sea region endorses the hypotesis that its range fits to coast line of ancient Neothethys Sea.
