Fidicina aper Walker 1850: 87 (Cayenne, French Guiana).

Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Grenada, French Guiana, Nicaragua, and Panama, Peru, and Trinidad ( Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2011 a, 2013, 2018b, 2020a, c, e; Maes et al. 2012; Sanborn & Maes 2012).
