Description. Vertex yellowish brown with some black stripes. Eyes brown. Pronotum with irregular yellowishbrown stripes ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1–12 ). Face with frontoclypeus broadly yellowish brown dorsally, without dark transverse streaks on both sides ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1–12 ).
External features as in generic description.
Male genitalia. Male pygofer side broadly rounded in lateral aspect, with 7 long postero-ventral setae ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 27–33 ). Aedeagal shaft short and robust, with pair of furcate processes arising from ventral margin near base; gonopore apical ( Figs. 30, 31 View FIGURES 27–33 ). Connective with arms nearly 1/3 length of stem ( Fig 32 View FIGURES 27–33 ).
Measurement. Length (including tegmen): Ƌ, 5.4–5.6 mm; ♀, 6.1–6.4 mm.
Type Material. Holotype: 1 ♂, China: Sichuan Prov., Ya’an, Erlangshan , 4 August 2005, coll. Zhonghui Zhou ( GUGC) ; Paratypes: 2♂♂ 4 ♀♀, same data as holotype .
Remarks. The new species is similar to L. flavipuncatus Li & Song, 2008, but can be distinguished from the latter by the pale dorsal part of the frontoclypeus and the short and robust aedeagus with a pair of furcate processes arising from the ventral margin near the base.
Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin word “ furcatus ”, referring to the aedeagal shaft with a pair of furcate processes.
