Etymology. The species name is an homage to Johann Christoph Friedrich Klug (1775-1856), who was born in Berlin on May 5, 1775. He was an entomologist who described many species of insects, including in Brazil ( Carcavallo, Jurberg, Lent, Galvão, Steindel & Carvalho Pinto 2001: 78).

Original citation. “ O nome específico é uma homenagem a Johann Christoph Friedrich Klug (1775- 1856) que nasceu em Berlin em 5 de maio de 1775, era entomólogo e descreveu numerosas espécies de insetos, inclusive no Brasil ” ( Carcavallo, Jurberg, Lent, Galvão, Steindel & Carvalho Pinto 2001: 78).
