Etymology. We have the honor of dedicating it to our friend and enthusiastic collaborator, Colonel Dr. José Maria García Bes, Head of the National Program for Combating Chagas-Mazza Disease (Salta region), because of his constant courtesy to us ( Carcavallo, Cichero, Martínez, Prosen & Ronderos 1967: 47).
Original citation. “Tenemos el honor de dedicársela a nuestro amigo y colaborador entusiasta, el coronel medico don José Maria García Bes, Jefe del Programa Nacional de Lucha contra la Enfermedad de Chagas- Mazza (zona Salta), por sus múltiples atenciones para com nosotros” ( Carcavallo, Cichero, Martínez, Prosen & Ronderos 1967: 47).
