Etymology. The species name is given in homage to Dr. Ezequiel Dias, a great pioneer in the studies on the disease of Carlos Chagas in Brazil ( Pinto & Lent 1946: 465).

Original citation. “ O nome da espécie dado em homenagem ao Dr. Ezequiel Dias, grande pioneiro dos estudos sobre a doença de Carlos Chagas no Brasil ” ( Pinto & Lent 1946: 465).
