Body sandy beige. Pair of longitudinal brown streaks at sides of coronal suture and irregularly-shaped dark brown patches on pronotum, scutum with three blackish patches, scutellum dark brown. Fore wing sandy beige with veins semitransparent, hind wing weakly semitransparent with veins brownish-black ( Figs. 1, 4 View FIGURES 1 – 9. 1 – 3 ).

Male genitalia: Pygofer with sclerotized appendage at hind upper angle ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 10 – 15 ). Subgenital plate broad, nearly triangular ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 10 – 15 ). Apical extension of paramere short, curved laterad apically ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 10 – 15 ). Penis compressed, tapering apically and proximad ( Figs. 14, 15 View FIGURES 10 – 15 ). Gonopore ventral.

Measurement: Male 3.2 mm (including wing).

Material examined: Holotype 3, Sichuan Prov., Kangding, 3900m, 6 November 1999, coll. Dworakowska; Paratype: 1Ƥ, Sichuan Prov., Kangding, 3900m, 6 November 1999, coll. Dworakowska.

Remarks: This new species differs from all the others in the genus in having the penis lacking processes and its stem strongly laterally compressed.

Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ calvus ”, referring to the absence of processes on the penis.
