Diese tyrphobionte Laufkäferart ist in der Schweiz auf wenige Moore beschränkt. Im Moor von Les Pontins wurde sie zuletzt 1999 gefunden. Auf der Hochmoorfläche kommt sie an kahlen Stellen auf Torf vor, die nur mit wenig Moos bewachsen und von Gräsern umgeben sind.
