Acineta sulcata Dons, 1927 View in CoL
Record as epibiont on cnidarians: Fernandez-Leborans et al. (2013) reported Acineta sulcata as epibiont on the hydrozoan Dicoryne conferta (Alder, 1856) , which was found on gastropod shells inhabited by the hermit-crab Pagurus bernhardus (Linnaeus, 1758) from the west coast of Scotland.
Record as epibiont on other hosts: The species was mainly reported as epibiont of halacarid mites from both marine and fresh water ( Chatterjee et al. 2018). Precht (1935) reported the species in Kiel Bay, the North Sea, on ostracods Cythereis tuberculata (Sars, 1866) and Hemicythere villosa (Sars, 1866) .
Remarks: Acineta sulcata is possible specific to halacarid mites thus the report of this species on representatives of other taxa would require verification ( Chatterjee et al. 2018).
