Record as epibiont on cnidarians: Acinetopsis rara was found by Robin (1879) as epibiont on hydroids of the genus Sertularia collected near Concarneau ( France).
Remarks: Grell & Meister (1982) mentioned that A. rara feeds on representatives of the genus Ephelota .
