Record as epibiont on cnidarians: This species was recorded as epibiont on Cordylophora caspia (Pallas, 1771) from Kiel Bay, the North Sea ( Precht 1935).
Record as epibiont on other hosts: This species was found in the North Sea attached to the tubes of the annelid Spirorbis nautiloides Lamarck, 1801 and attached to the shell of mollusk Pecten sp. from Falmouth, UK ( Kent 1881), also found in the Black Sea ( Gassovsky 1960). Das (1948) has mentioned that this species (under the name Folliculinopsis ampulla ) was registered at British coast near Plymouth, Port Erin, Cullercoats, attached to submerged plates and tests of tunicate Ascidiella aspersa (Müller, 1776) .
