Bemisia afer sens lat. form A

( Figure 14)

PUPARIUM. Habitus. The immature stages occur scattered on the lower surfaces of leaves of the host plants, not secreting visible dorsal wax. Cuticle is pale making it difficult to see it in the field. Margin. Outline broadly oval, 1.07 mm long, 0.85 mm wide, generally widest at abdominal segment I; margin crenate with thoracic tracheal openings unmarked. Anterior and posterior marginal setae present, longer than dorsal setae. Dorsum. Submedian/ subdorsal area of dorsal disc smooth, only with a reticulate impression ( Fig.14). Submedian abdominal depressions particularly well marked, especially in the anterior segments (similar to B. medinae , Fig. 18). Chaetotaxy. Eight pairs of abdominal, and six pairs of cephalothpracic setae present, all minute, microseta-like, as in figure. Venter. Thoracic tracheal folds spiculate, distinct.
