Distribution in Iran. —Distribution in River Basin: Caspian Sea, Lake Orumiyeh, Tigris.—Distribution in Ecoregions: 434-Kura-South Caspian Drainages, 442-Upper Tigris & Euphrates, 445-Orumiyeh, 450-Turan Plain.
Status in Iran. [Endemic].—Makhraj loleyi-e Parsi.—Recorded from Iran in the original description by Esmaeili et al. (2020); listed in previous checklists from Iran by Eagderi et al. (2022).—Iran material: ZM-CBSU.
Conservation. —IUCN: NE.
Remarks. Translocated to the Tigris River drainage and Urmia Lake basin.
