Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–8 ) wingspan 20.0–23.0 mm. Calamotropha alcesta can be distinguished in the male genitalia by the valva trifurcated from basal 1/4 ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 29–33 ), and in the female genitalia by the flat antrum widened posteriorly and narrowed anteriorly ( Fig. 51 View FIGURES 51–55 ).
Distribution. China (Hainan, Yunnan), India.
