Callianassa lanceolata .— Edmondson 1946: 262, fig. 159f.
Glypturus lanceolatus . — Sakai 1999: 83.— Sakai 2005: 142.— Sakai 2011: 435.

Material examined. USA, Hawaii, Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, Pearl and Hermes Reef , T. T . Dranga , April 1927, BPBM S2735 About BPBM (2 specimens) .
Diagnosis. Rostrum upturned; carapace anterolateral spines triangular, short. Maxilliped 3 ischium-merus 2.5 times as long as wide; merus mesiodistal margin convex; propodus, free distal margin transverse. Major cheliped ischium lower margin with 2 small distal spines; merus lower margin with row of diminishing denticles; palm as long as wide. Minor cheliped merus lower margin smooth; palm 1.3 times as long as wide, rectangular; fingers as long as palm, curved. Uropodal endopod 3 times as long as wide; anterior margin sinuous; posterior margin convex; apex attenuated. Uropodal exopod posterior margin strongly concave in adult. Telson slightly tapering, 1.7 times as wide as long; posterior margin with medial lobe more prominent than posterolateral corners; dorsal surface with about 6 pairs of fine setae separated by median gap on transverse ridge. Size. Cl. to 9 mm.
Distribution. USA, Hawaii: Oahu, Pearl and Hermes Reef (type locality: Hanauma Bay)
Remarks. Corallianassa lanceolata resembles C. assimilis ( De Man, 1928) from Indonesia and Guam but has a more attenuated uropodal endopod. Komai et al. (2015) noted that Callianassa (Callichirus) nakasonei Sakai, 1967 , synonymised with this species by Sakai’s (2011), is instead a synonym of Corallianassa martensi .
