Remarks. It appears that this species was described by Berlese (1882c). However, no copies of this publication can be located ( van der Hammen 1979). The specimens are also missing from the Berlese Acaroteca ( Castagnoli & Pegazzano 1985). Berlese (1883) recorded its rare occurrence in moss at Acireale, Sicily.
