A single female examined from Meghalaya, northeastern India ( Fig. 194 View FIGURE 194 ) appears to be different from its congeners. It is similar to S. melanopepla in having distinct microsculpture on interspaces between punctures on pronotum and elytra, but distinctly larger in size (length: 8.70 mm) with a differently shaped spermatheca. The shape of the spermatheca and the anteriorly sclerotized, funnel-shaped infundibulum are somewhat similar to those in S. obscura , but the latter does not have microsculpture on interspaces between punctures. It is not described as a new species in the absence of associated males.
