Description. Female. Body medium-sized for this genus. Antennae filiform, 15-segmented, 1.8 times as long as fore femur; middle segments (seventh–ninth) 6.6–8 times as long as wide. Antennal grooves situated between lower margins of eyes. Fastigium of vertex narrow, 1.1–1.2 times as wide as one compound eye seen from above; anterior margin of vertex rounded, reaching the frontal line of eyes; lateral margins of vertex curved; median carina of fastigium distinct; transverse carinae anteriorly almost reaching median carina; supraocular lobes distinct; fossulae deep. Compound eyes not elevated above the pronotum in lateral view. Lateral ocelli situated between middle of eyes. Frontal ridge in lateral view excised between lateral ocelli, broadly rounded between antennal grooves and excised below median ocellus; in frontal view, this ridge gently diverging downwards and narrow (ridge near base of antennae 1.2 times narrower than or as wide as first antennal segment). Pronotum in dorsal view with truncated, straight anterior margin; posterior process of pronotum narrow, surpassing apex of hind femora for 4.5–4.7 mm. Disc of pronotum behind the shoulders with a pair of shallow depressions; posterior process of pronotum smooth; apex of this process blunt. Shoulders most prominent margins rounded in dorsal view. Median carina of pronotum in profile low and almost straight. Prozonal carinae well defined, constricted backwards; prozona 1.2 times as wide as long. Humero-apical carinae distinct; interhumeral carinae long, almost parallel. Tegminal sinus deep; lower part of lateral lobe of pronotum in dorsal view forming obliquely truncate lobule. Infrascapular area short. Tegmina broad with widely rounded apex; visible part of tegmen 2.2–2.3 times as long as wide; this part of tegmen 1.3–1.4 times as wide as mid femur. Hind wings reaching the apex of posterior process of pronotum. Fore femur 4.5–4.8 times, mid femur 4.4–4.9 times as long as wide; upper and lower side of fore and mid femora straight. Hind femur 3.3–3.4 times as long as wide. Upper side of hind tibia with 6–8 outer and 5–6 inner spines, with margins finely serrated. First tarsal segment of hind leg 1.1 times shorter than third one; ventral side of first tarsal segment with three almost equal triangular pads; third tarsal segment not swollen. Epiproct triangular, with pointed apex. Subgenital plate subsquare; posterior margin of plate distinctly excised and with angular posterior process near middle. Cerci conical, about 2 times as long as wide near base. Valves of ovipositor very narrow, dentate; length of upper valve 4.2–4.3 times as great as its maximum width; length of lower valve 6.8–7 times as great as its maximum width.

General colouration of body blackish brown. Head blackish brown; eyes brown. Disc of pronotum and lateral lobes brownish black. Tegmina and hind wings black. Fore and mid femora black. Fore and mid tibia dark brown with indistinct light brown ring near the middle. Hind femora completely black. Hind tibiae blackish brown without rings. Fore and mid legs with both tarsal segments dark brown; hind legs with light brown tarsal segments, but second segment blackish and the apex of third segments dark brown. Tergites, sternites, epiproct, subgenital plate, cerci and ovipositor brownish black.

Male. General appearance similar to that of female, but smaller. Antennae 15-segmented; 1.8 times as long as fore femur; middle segments 7–9.5 times as long as wide. Fastigium of vertex 1.2 times as wide as one compound eye seen from above; carinae of vertex as in female. First antennal segment as wide as frontal ridge near base of antennae. Pronotum as in female. Tegmina broad; visible part of tegmen 2.3–2.5 times as long as wide; this part of tegmen 1.2–1.4 times as wide as mid femur. Legs as in female, but fore femur 4.4–4.8 times, mid femur 3.9–4.1 times, hind femur 3.3–3.4 as long as wide. Epiproct triangular, with pointed apex. Subgenital plate 1.5–1.6 times as long as wide; its apex excised. Cerci similar to those in female.

General colouration of body as in female, but head and lateral lobes of pronotum brown. Tergites black or brown; sternites black with light brown lateral sides. Epiproct, subgenital plate and cerci light brown with indistinct black marks.

Measurements (mm). Body: male 10.0–10.6, female 10.6–10.9; pronotum: male 14.2–15.4, female 15.1– 15.8; antenna: male 4.0–4.4, female 4.3–4.5; tegmen male 1.5–1.6, female 1.6–1.7; fore femur: male 2.2–2.4, female 2.4–2.5; mid femur: male 2.5–2.7, female 2.6–2.7; hind femur: male 6.5–6.8, female 7.1–7.6; ovipositor 1.6–1.9.

Distribution. India, China, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand ( Bolívar, 1887, Blackith, 1992; Deng et al., 2010; Storozhenko & Dawwrueng, 2015), northern and southern Vietnam (provinces Lao Cai, Vinh Phuc, Binh Phoc, and Dak Lak).
