Material examined. NMV J55274 View Materials , 1 male (cl 5.0 mm, pcl 4.3 mm), Lacepede L26 transect, 15°47.568–48.504'S, 121°03.504–02.886'E, 119– 111 m, beam trawl, SS05/2007/129 (acq. 017), 1 Jul 2007.
Colour in life ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1. A ). Cephalothorax and most of abdomen mottled white-cream and pale red-brown; cervical groove with two blue spots on each side. Abdominal somite 6 and tail-fan translucent white; anterior margin of uropodal protopod brown-red. Walking legs translucent with diffuse white banding.
Remarks. The specimen agrees well with published accounts (Van Dam 1838; Baba & de Saint Laurent 1996).
Distribution. Ceram Sea, New Caledonia and now from Western Australia; 110– 195 m.
