Remarks. Specimens were collected from underneath stones along a river shore.
According to their distribution, species of Bembidion and Sinechostictus from the study area can be divided among six chorotype groups. One taxon ( B. ispartanum ispartanum ) is in the Armeno-E-Anatolian chorotype. Two taxa ( B. siculum smyrnense and B. praeustum praeustum ) are of the Mediterranean chorotype. Three taxa ( B. vseteckai adanae , B. castaneipenne , and B. grandipenne freyi ) belong to the E-Mediterranean chorotype. One taxon ( B. bipunctatum ) his in the a European, Central Asian, Siberian chorotype. One taxon ( S. tarsicus ) pertains to the S-European chorotype. Nine taxa ( B. testaceum brevius , B. dalmatinum haupti , B. lacrimans , B. cruciatum bualei , B. distinguendum meyeri , B. femoratum caucasicola , B. persicum , B. subcostatum , and B. capito ) fall in the SW- Asiatic chorotype. The majority (52.9%) of Bembidiina in the Amanos Mountains thus belong in thee the SW-Asiatic chorotype. The geographic distribution of Turkish species is important for future biodiversity and zoogeographic studies. In particular, the negative effect created by the destruction of the environment can only be understood if we have knowledge of the species present.
