Diagnosis. Setulae just before prescutellar acrostichal setae somewhat longer than other acrostichal setulae (ch.15- 1); anterior, sclerotized postgonite on right lateral lobe of aedeagal sheath bifurcated into short and long projections (“Fig. 13” in Chen et al. 2005b).

Supplementary description. Supracervical setae approximately 9. Dorsomedial, tentorial apodeme 1/2 as long as basal, parallel portion of dorsolateral, tentorial apodeme. Some interfrontal setulae longer than lowest setulae on ocellar triangle (ch.3-2). Arista with neither dorsal nor ventral branches (ch.5,6-2); apical, leaf-like expansion narrower than long, apically tapering and pointed. Cibarial, medial sensilla 4–7 per side; posterior sensilla approximately 7 per side. Fore femur entirely yellow; fore and mid tibiae entirely yellow (ch.17,18-0); all tarsi with gray tarsomeres IV and V. Abdominal sternite III wider than long (ch.22-1), widest among sternites (ch.23-1), with dense setulae on medial surface (ch.26-1); IV and V wider than long (ch.24,25-1). Surstylus expanded at caudoventral corner (ch.35-1). Pregonite not concave on dorsosubapical margin of apical knob (ch.48-0), gently curved ventrad distally. Posterior postgonites on lateral lobes of aedeagal sheath medially separated from each other (ch.66-0), both apically roundish; right one less sclerotized (“Figs 12, 13” in Chen et al. 2005b).
