Type locality: India, Tamil Nadu, Nilgiri, N. slopes, 3500 feet
Distribution. Indian records: Nilgiri District ( Hampson 1891), Sikkim, Khasis, Nilgiris ( Caradja 1925) , Andaman Islands ( Rao & Sivaperuman 2020), Kerala ( Das et al. 2020a). Global records: Japan ( Inoue 1982).
