Distribution. Indian records: Nilgiri plateau ( Hampson 1896b). Global records: unknown.
Remark: Pyrausta bitincta is a replacement name for O. tinctalis Hampson , a junior secondary homonym of Botys tinctalis Lederer, 1863 .
