Shirozuozephyrus fibonacci sp. n.

( Figs. 22, 23 View FIGURES 2 – 27 , 38 View FIGURES 28 – 40 )

Material examined. Holotype: ♂, Weixi, Yunnan, 16. VI. 2013. 2870 m, leg Zhuang Hailing ( SCAU). Paratype: 1 ♂, Weixi, Yunnan, 20. VI. 2013. 2870 m, leg Wang Min ( UMUT).

Diagnosis. The new species resembles the species S. alienus Koiwaya & Monastyrskii and S. hayashii Koiwaya. But their distinct differnences focus on the color and pattern of wings and the shape of valva of male genitalia. The underside of new species with pale ground color, its similar species S. alienus and S. hayashii ground color gray. The differences of genitalia between the new species and S. alienus are the new species valva broader, nearly elliptic, ampulla short and thick, the valva of S. alienus with the terminal narrow, ampulla long and slender, sacculus sinuous. The new species compares with S. hayashii , the valva of new species broader, ampulla short and slender, costa without extension ( Koiwaya, 2007, Koiwaya & Monastyrskii 2010).

Description. Adult ( Figs. 22, 23 View FIGURES 2 – 27 ): Wingspan 33–36 mm, labial palpus long, white scales with some black hairs, eyes brown with long hairs, antenna segmentation, The upperside of forewings metallic green, marginal band black and broad in apex angle area, discoidal streak white, hindwings metallic green tinged with blue scales. The underside of wings gray white and some blue scales in the basal, forewings marginal line black and narrow, submarginal band black, from space 6 to space 1b, postdistal band black and straight discoidal streak black, hindwings submarginal band and postdistal band black and sinuous, orange and black markings in space 2 and tornal.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 28 – 40 ): Uncus absent, socii narrow and connected with the falx, the falx Y-shaped bifurcate, one branch very long and no spines, the other short and thick, with some spines. Valva relatively broad, ampulla short and thumb-shaped, costa with two light tubers. Aedeagus long with carina penis, subzonal sheath almost as long as suprazonal sheath.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from a magical numbers, called Fibonacci numbers.

Remarks. The genus Shirozuozephyrus Koiwaya is composed of fourteen previously described species and restricted to Eastern Asia ( Koiwaya 2007; Koiwaya & Monastyrskii 2010). This genus was erected by Koiwaya (2007), Zephyrus kirbariensis Tytler, 1915 as its type species. Although Koiwaya thought there is no distinct differences between male and female genitalia of this genus and the genus Chrysozephyrus Shirôzu et Yamamoto , he erected the genus Shirozuozephyrus Koiwaya based on their typical wing patterns, coloration and their male and female genitalia show parallel variation correlated to Chrysozephyrus Shirôzu et Yamamoto ( Koiwaya 2007; Koiwaya & Monastyrskii 2010). We think further research is necessary to clarify the taxonomic status of this two genera. The new species with its similar species are allopatric, the new species from Hengduan Mountains region of Yunnan, China, S. hayashii and S. alienus distributed in the northeast of Myanmar and Vietnam respectively.
