Differential diagnosis. Species characterized by absence from pits in thoracic and abdominal terga, sclerites in lateral part of head reminds those of Lyponia sp. #2, light patches on sternites and processes at hind margins of tergites considerably reduced in segments T1–T3.

Measurements. BL 14.6 mm, PL 1.5 mm, PW 1.6 mm.

Material examined. Borneo, Sabah, km 53 Kota Kinabalu–Tambunan Rd., 1650 m, Gn Emas , 15.iii.2000, Bolm lgt., one mature larva ( LMBC) .
