Genus Poecilocricus Schubart, 1962a

Poecilocricus Schubart, 1962a: 265 . Type species Poecilocricus singularis Schubart, 1962a . Hoffman, 1980: 79; Marek et al., 2003: 44; Enghoff et al., 2015: 441.

Diagnosis. Males of Poecilocricus differ from those of other Rhinocricidae genera by the combination of the following characters: long processes on coxae of the leg pairs 3–7 ( Fig. 1e, f, g ); second body ring excavated in ventral view ( Fig. 1b ); presence of round bulge at both sides of the coxite of the anterior gonopod in anterior view ( Figs. 2b ; 6a ; 7e ; 8a, d ; 9e ; 10e ; 11a, d ; and 12e ); telopodite of the posterior gonopod with tree short branches and the solenomere is lanceolated ( Fig. 3a ).

Distribution. Brazil (States of Paraíba, Bahia and Minas Gerais, Fig. 13 ).
