( Figs. 15 View FIGURES 13−18 , 31 View FIGURES 29−34 , 41 View FIGURES 39−43 )

Type material. CHINA, Hainan: Holotype ♂, Tianchi (18.73°N, 108.87°E), Jianfengling , Ledong County, 787 m, 14.VII.2015, leg. QY Wang et al., slide No. YAH15472 GoogleMaps . Paratypes (11♂ 5♀): 3♂ 3♀, 14–17.VII.2015, other same data as holotype, slide Nos. YAH15345 GoogleMaps ♂, YAH15346 ♀; 8♂ 2♀, Jianfengling , Ledong County, 810 m, 12– 15. VI.2018, leg. P Liu et al., slide No. ZXJ18019 ♂.

Diagnosis. The new species is diagnostic in the male genitalia by the elongate aedeagus longer than the valva, and in the female genitalia by the signum placed near the bottom of the corpus bursae. It is similar to M. anisodonta sp. nov., and the differences between the two species are stated in the diagnosis of M. anisodonta .

Description. Adult ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 13−18 ). Forewing length 7.0−8.0 mm.

Head yellow, mixed with blackish brown on vertex. Labial palpus yellow; with dense blackish brown scales on outer surface of first segment and before apex of second segment; third segment about 2/3 as long as second segment, with a longitudinal blackish brown line on ventral surface. Antenna with scape yellow on ventral surface, brown on dorsal surface; flagellum yellow, ringed with blackish brown on dorsal surface.

Thorax blackish brown, yellow laterally and apically; tegula yellow except blackish brown at base. Forewing with costal margin arched, apex roundly protruded, termen obtusely oblique; ground color orange yellow, mixed with blackish brown and greyish brown scales; costal margin blackish brown along basal 1/5, forming an elongate streak; median fascia blackish brown, extending from middle of costal margin obliquely outward to tornus, its inner margin straight and distinct, outer margin ill-defined; dorsum with a blackish brown spot at base, reaching fold anteriorly; discal and plical spots blackish brown, discocellular spot merged with median fascia, ill-defined; evenly spaced blackish brown dots running from distal 1/3 of costal margin along termen to median fascia on tornus; fringe yellow, tinged with grey, blackish brown around tornus. Hindwing and fringe greyish brown. Legs yellow; on ventral surface, fore- and midlegs blackish brown, tibiae orange apically, tarsi with basal two tarsomeres orange at apex, hind tarsus blackish brown, yellow at apex of each tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 29−34 ). Uncus broad at base, narrowed to basal 1/3, thereafter subparallel to rounded apex, with a single long seta at basal 1/3 on lateral margin. Tegumen with widest part as long as uncus. Valva narrow at base, gradually widened to basal 1/3, uniformly wide medially, slightly narrowed to rounded apex distally; costa heavily sclerotized, reaching before apex of valva; transtilla produced ventrad semicircularly, densely setose. Sacculus trapezoidal, concave before apex dorsally, arched and sclerotized ventrally; apex heavily sclerotized, concave medially, forming a semicircular dorsal lobe and an indistinct ventral lobe. Saccus sub-cylindrical, wide at base, narrowed to rounded apex, longer than uncus. Juxta U-shaped; lateral arm slender. Aedeagus longer than valva, tubular from base to basal 2/5, separated from beyond basal 2/5, forming two bands: dorsal band curved to bilobed apex: dorsal lobe longer, pointed apically, with dorsal denticles before apex, or without dorsal denticles in some individuals ( Fig. 31a View FIGURES 29−34 ), ventral lobe half length of dorsal one, short thumb-shaped; ventral band straightly uniform, less than half length of dorsal band, serrate at apex.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 39−43 ). Papillae anales rectangular, setose. Apophyses anteriores about half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth sternal plate with posterior margin lined with long setae, slightly concave at middle. Lamella antevaginalis elongate ovate, annular, surrounding ostium bursae. Ductus bursae curved, densely granulose except smooth on right part of anterior 1/3, anterior 1/3 thickened toward corpus bursae; ductus seminalis from ductus bursae anteriorly. Corpus bursae sub-rounded, about 2/3 length of ductus bursae; signum ovate, with teeth, placed near bottom.

Distribution. China (Hainan).

Etymology. The specific epithet of the new species is derived from the Latin long- and aedeagus, referring to the elongate aedeagus.
