Diagnosis. The species is similar to M. facialis Li et Wang, 2002 . It can be distinguished by the triangular uncus, the sacculus with a denticle dorsoapically, and the saccus not produced to a point anteriorly in the male genitalia. In M. facialis , the uncus is sub-oval, the sacculus has three apical processes, and the saccus is produced triangularly to a point anteriorly ( Li & Wang 2002: 230, Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).

Description. Adult ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9‒12 ). Forewing length 4.0– 4.3 mm.

Head yellow, vertex mixed with grey scales. Labial palpus yellow except blackish grey on outer surface of first segment and on end of second segment; third segment nearly 2/3 as long as second segment, with dense blackish grey scales dorsally before apex. Antenna with scape blackish grey on dorsal surface, yellow on ventral surface; flagellum yellow alternated with greyish brown on dorsal surface, yellow on ventral surface.

Thorax yellow, mixed with blackish brown scales anteriorly; tegula blackish brown basally, yellow distally. Forewing yellow; costal margin with basal 1/3 blackish grey, with a small blackish greyish spot at base, with two black dots in distal 1/3; costal spot semicircular, blackish grey, beyond middle; apical patch blackish grey, diffused along termen to tornal spot; tornal spot blackish grey, not well separated from apical patch; discal and plical spots brown, small; discocellular spots blackish grey; dorsal spot blackish grey, at end of fold. Hindwing and fringe pale blackish grey. Legs yellow; on ventral surface, fore- and midlegs blackish brown except tibiae yellow apically and tarsi yellow at apices of basal two and apical one tarsomeres, hindleg blackish brown except tarsus yellow at apex of each tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 25‒28 ). Uncus triangular, with dense long setae on dorsal surface, narrowly rounded at apex. Tegumen U-shaped; lateral arm narrowed medially, weakly sclerotized along outer margin, heavily sclerotized along inner margin, obtuse anteriorly. Valva widened from base to middle, distal half almost uniformly wide, obtuse at apex, with long setae in distal 2/3; costa narrow, basal 4/5 uniform, distal 1/5 narrowed, reaching distal 1/5 of valva apically; transtilla clavate, dilated distally, joined medially by membrane. Sacculus wide at base, narrowed to apex; apex obtuse, with a denticle dorsally. Saccus sub-triangular, rounded at apex, longer than uncus. Juxta weakly sclerotized, quadrate, concave laterally. Aedeagus nearly 2/3 as long as valva, tapered from base to apex; cornutus spine-shaped, about 2/5 length of aedeagus.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 35‒38 ). Papillae anales quadrate, setose. Apophyses posteriores approximately twice as long as apophyses anteriores. Eighth sternal plate lined with long setae and shallowly concave medially on posterior margin, straight on anterior margin. Lamella antevaginalis being two elliptical sclerites at lateral margin of ostium bursae. Antrum sub-semicircular, extended to a short process posterolaterally. Ductus bursae membranous, slightly widened to posterior 2/3, then narrowed anteriorly; ductus seminalis arising from near corpus bursae, dilated basally. Corpus bursae ovate, granulated, shorter than ductus bursae; signum elliptical, with dense denticles.

Distribution. China (Hainan), Borneo.

Notes: Meleonoma aridula (Meyrick, 1910) is newly recorded for China, and the female is described for the first time.
