Current name: Acanthocereus tetragonus (L.) Hummelinck View in CoL ( Cactaceae ).

Note: Hummelinck (in Succulenta 20: 165. 1938) apparently designated two collections (Hummelinck 196 (fl.) and 170 (fr.)) as a neotype. The numbering suggests that these may not be part of a single gathering, which presumably renders this choice ineffective.
