Description—Leaves 2–3-ternate to 4–5-ternatisect. Fruits compressed dorsally, of two unequal mericarpia: one with 3, the other with 4 prominent ribs, carpophore bifid, vallecular vitae 1–2(3), commissural 2 to 4 or 6, rib oil ducts in prominent ribs. Seeds transversely (semi)lunate to deeply sulcate, sometimes with a broad deep groove.
