Genus Tuberfemurus Zheng, 1992 View in CoL
Tuberfemurus Zheng, 1992: 84 View in CoL , 92; Liang & Zheng, 1998: 30; Zheng, 2005: 25; Deng, Zheng & Wei, 2009: 211.
Type species: Tuberfemurus laminatus Zheng, 1992 , by original designation.
Redescription. Body small-sized, robust and short. Head and eye not elevated above pronotum in lateral view. In dorsal view, fastigium of vertex between eyes considerably broader than width of one eye; anterior margin of fastigium truncate, not surpassing anterior margin of eye; posterior edge of median carina of vertex reaching posterior edge of eye, fossula deep, lateral margins of vertex produced upwards. In frontal view, fastigium of vertex almost straight, lateral carinae of frontal ridge divergent between lateral ocelli and forming wide scutellum above medial ocellus, frontal ridge between antennae distinct wide than diameter of antennal socket. In lateral view, frontal ridge protruded anteriorly and broadly rounded between antennal sockets. Antennae filiform, inserted between of below lower margins of eyes. Eyes globose, not exserted above pronotal surface.
Pronotum short and reaching middle of hind femora, in dorsal view truncate, with almost straight or slightly obtuse anterior margin. Median carina of pronotum strongly lamellate elevated, in profile arch-like; apex of the posterior process of pronotum widely rounded or with weak excision. Hind margin of lateral lobe of pronotum with one concave, posterior angles of lateral lobes produced outwards, end of posterior angles truncate. Tegmina and hind wings absent. Fore and mid femora slightly compressed laterally; lower carinae of fore femora sinuate; lower carinae of mid femora with two-three triangular lobules. Hind femur with gently serrate upper and lower carinae; lower outer keel with 2–3 projections, upper side with a series of thick tubercles. Length of first segment of hind tarsi longer than third.
Composition. The genus consists of five species including a new one described below.
