Lectotype (designated by Hartmann 1976: 218–219):— SOUTH AFRICA. Northern Cape: Ezelsfontein, between Spektakel and O’kiep, August 1926, Marloth 6974 ( BOL133780 About BOL !).
Note of the new specific epithet: —The new name refers to the sharply toothed leaves.
