M a t e r i a l e x a m i n e d: 1♀: Fars, Naghsh e Rustam, 29º59’N, 52º25’E, 16.ix.2013, Malaise trap in alfalfa field. This is a new record and Schistopterum is a new genus for the fauna of Iran and Fars province.

H o s t s o u t s i d e I r a n: The larvae develop in flower heads of Pluchea dioscoridis (Asteraceae) (FREIDBERG & KUGLER 1989).
