TYPE SPECIES: Musca canicularis Linnaeus, 1761 , by subsequent designation ( Coquillett, 1901: 140) .

CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Fannia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [teste Pont (1986a: 43)].
