TYPE SPECIES: Aciura femoralis Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [= Musca coryli Rossi, 1794 ], by subsequent designation ( Rondani, 1856: 113).
CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [teste Norrbom et al. (1999: 70)].
FAMILY: TEPHRITIDAE .
EMENDATIONS: Acidura Agassiz, 1846b: 4 (unjustified).
