Diagnosis of female. Setae j1–3, z2, z6 and s5 pilose, other central and submarginalpodonotalsetaesmooth. Eachopisthonotalsetaedenselypilose, feathered. NoneofJ-, Z-orS-setaereachinginsertionsofthefollowingsetae oftheseries. GlandsPo2 inposition gdS2, lateraltoS3, Po3 inposition gdJ3, situatedposterolateraltoJ3. Anteriorsurfaceofopisthonotumreticulate, with pitsofmoderatesizeinthecrossingpoints, posteriorsurfacewithahexagonal patternofclover- shapedpits. Posterodorsalcavitiesunifrom, weaklydeveloped, withundulateinnermargin. Posterolateraltipsofperitrematalshields fusedwithventrianalshieldonlevelofsetaeR5.

Descriptionoffemale. Lengthofidiosoma: 382 μm; width: 312 μm (n = 1).

Dorsal side ( Fig. 81 View Figs 81–85 ). Podonotum with 20 pairs of setae, j1–6, z2–6, s1–6, r2 and r4–5 inserteddorsally, r1 andr3 insertedventrally, onperitrematalshields. Setaej1–3, z2–3, z6, r2, s3, r4–5 ands5–6 moderatelylong, pilose, feathered. Setaes2 similarinappearanceto previoussetae, butshort. Otherpodonotalsetaeshort, smoothandneedle-like. Setaes5 situatedonlevelofz6. Glands gds1 (po1) situatedanteromedialtoinsertionsofs1; gdj4 (po2) situated below line connecting j4 and z4; gds4 (po3) on line connecting s4 and z6, nears4. Anteriorandlateralsurfaceofpodonotalshieldcoveredbyscalespossessinglacy posteriormargin, centralandposteriorsurfacewithreticulatepattern, possessingpitsof moderatesizeinthecrossingpoints.

Opisthonotumwith 22 pairsofsetae: J1–5, Z1–5 andS1–5, marginalR-serieswith sevenpairsofsetae. Eachopisthonotalsetaesimilarinappearance, denselypilose, feathered, noneofthemreachinginsertionsofthefollowingoneoftheseries. SetaeJ5 situated slightlyabovelevelofcentralposterodorsalcavities. SetaeZ3–4 finelyshiftedtowardsthe J-series, Z4 situatedon, orsomewhatlateraltolineconnectingZ3 andJ5. SetaeS2 situated anteriortoS3. SetaeS2–4 notreachingbeyondmarginsofopisthonotum. SetaeS5 longer thantherestofcentralandsubmarginalopisthonotalsetae, expandingbeyondmarginsof idiosoma. R-setaeslightlydecreasinginlengthposteriorly. Lengthofopisthonotalsetae anddistancesbetweentheirinsertionsasinTable 10. Glands gdZ1 (Po1) situatedanteromedialtoinsertionsofZ1; gdS2 (Po2) situatedlateraltoS3; glands gdJ3 (Po3) posterolateral toJ3; gdS5 (Po4) onlineconnectingZ5 andS5, anteriororanteromedialtoinsertionsofJv5. Marginalserrationdeep, obtuse. AnteriorsurfaceofopisthonotumreticulatetothelineJ2– Z2–S4, withpitsofmoderatesizeinthecrossingpoints, posteriorsurfacewithahexagonal patternofsubtriangularandclover- shapedpits. Posterodorsalcavitiesuniform, weakly developed, withundulateinnermargin. Lateralpairofcavitiessituatedanterolateralto centralpair, betweeninsertionsofJ5 andS5.

Ventralside ( Fig. 82 View Figs 81–85 ). Peritrematalandventrianalshieldsfusedwithbodymargins. Posterolateraltipsofperitrematalshieldsfusedwithlateralpartsofventrianalshieldon levelofsetaeR5. Peritrematalshieldsornamentedbyreticulationoflongitudinalsutures. Peritremesslightlybent, withasmalldilationnearstigmata. Peritrematalsetaer1 andr3 short, smoothandbristle-like. Tritosternumwithtwoslender, apicallybifurcate, marginallypiloselaciniae, tritosternalbaseproximallysubrectangular. Sternalshield 52 μmlong and 43 μmwideatthelevelofsetaest2, witharcuateposteriormarginanddistinct, reticulateornamentation. Sternalsetaesmoothandneedle-like. Glands gv1 situatedmedialtosetaest3. Genitalshieldtypicalforthefamily, withirregularornamentationofsutures, geni- talsetaesmoothandneedle-like. Glands gv2 present, withdoubleopeningssurrounded bysmalladgenitalsclerites. Ventrianalshieldwithsmoothsetae, setaeZv1 absent. Adanal setae, Jv3–4 andpostanalseta 2 timeslongerthanotherpreanalsetae. SetaeJv5 moderately long, denselypilose, feathered. Analvalveswithvestigialeuanalsetae. Glands gv3 situated anterolateraltoadanalsetae. Anteriorsurfaceofventrianalshieldcoveredbytile-likepattern to level of adanal setae and Jv4.

Gnathosoma. Situationofhypostomalandsubcapitularsetaetypicalforthefamily. Setae h1 elongate, smooth. Setae h2-3 shorter than h1, smooth, h4 longer than previ- oussetae, serrate. Corniculihorn-like, internalmalaewithapairofbifurcateanterocentral branchesandwithserratemargins. Cheliceraerelativelyslender, fixeddigitwith 6 teeth, movabledigitwith 4–5 teeth. Epistomeof Prozercon - type.

Descriptionofmale ( Fig. 83 View Figs 81–85 ). Lengthofidiosoma: 264 μm; width: 220 μm (n = 1). Chaetotaxy, adenotaxyandsculpturalpatternofdorsal, ventrianalandperitrematalshields similartothoseoffemale. Lengthofopisthonotalsetaeanddistancesbetweentheirinser- tionsasinTable 10. Peritrematalshieldsfusedwithanterolateralpartsofventrianalshield, onlyapairofhorizontalincisionscanbeobservedrunningtowardssetaeR2. Peritrematal dilationnearstigmatarelativelylarge. Sternigenitalshieldundivided, bearingfourpairs ofsmoothandneedle-likesetae, setaest5 vestigial. Sternalsetaest3 situatedonlevelofanteriorpartofgenitalopening. Anteriorsurfaceofsternigentialshieldpossessingreticulate ornamentation, posteriorsurfacewithirregularpattern. Glands gv2 withasingleopening, surroundedbysmalladgenitalsclerites. Eachcharactersofgnathosomasimilartothoseof female, butterminalpartoffixeddigitofcheliceraebifurcate.

Descriptionofprotonymph ( Fig. 84 View Figs 81–85 ). Lengthofidiosoma: 312 μm; width: 258 μm (n = 1). Podonotal setae j1, z4, s4–5 and r2 elongate, densely pilose, feathered. Setae j3 and z2 similarinshapetoformersetae, butshorter. Setaej2 shorterthansetaej3, barbed. Pos- teromarginalsetaer5 ands6 bristle-like, barbed. Setaej4–6 andz5 smoothandneedle-like. Glands gds1 (po1) situatedposteromedialtoj2; gdj4 (po2) positionedbelowlineconnectingz4 andj4, equidistantly; gds4 (po3) inthecentreofthetriangles4-z5-s5. Anteriorand lateralsurfaceofpodonotalshieldcoveredbyscalespossessinglacyposteriormargin, centralandposteriorsurfacewithreticulatepattern. Onopisthonotum, setaeJ1–2, J4 andZ4 short, barbed. SetaeJ3, J5 andZ1–3 short, smooth, needle-like. SetaeJ5 positionedbetween lateralandcentralposterodorsalcavities. SetaeZ5, S2–5 andJv5 elongate, denselypilose, feathered. LengthofopisthonotalsetaeanddistancesbetweentheirinsertionsasinTable 10. Glands gdJ3 (Po3) situatedposterolateraltosetaeJ3, otheropisthonotalporesnotvis- ible. Posterodorsalcavitiesround, weaklydeveloped, withundulateinnermargin. AnteriorsurfaceofopisthonotumreticulatetothelineJ4–Z3–S4, withirregularpitsofmoderate sizeinthecrossingpoints, posteriorsurfacecoveredbyirregularpits. Eachcharactersof gnathosomasimilartothoseofadults ( Fig. 85 View Figs 81–85 ).

Etymology. Thenameofthenewspeciesreferstothesimilarityinthecuticularornamentation of this mite and the pattern of a leopard.
