Genus Ufudia nom. nov.

Pelonia Junker & Boomker, 2002 (Pentastomida: Sebekidae View in CoL ), type species: Pelonia africana Junker & Boomker, 2002 (p. 54–56). Preoccupied by Pelonia Grube, 1859 (p. 63–64), type species Pelonia foliosa Grube, 1859 (see Oudemans 1900: 141), and by Pelonia Clark, 1865 , type species Pelonia nigripennis Clark, 1865 (Heikertinger & Csiki 1940: 202) .

Type species, by original designation under Pelonia Junker & Boomker, 2002 : Ufudia africana (Junker & Boomker, 2002) comb. nov. Ufudia is monotypic.

Type material: Holotype male (T 2186), deposited in the National Collection of Animal Helminths, ARC- Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute, Onderstepoort, South Africa.

Distribution: Limpopo Province (formerly Northern Province), South Africa.
