The vertex of Paramesus Fieber, 1866 is rounded, with a strong dark line parallel to the anterior margin and another dark band on the face just below the ocelli ( Fig. 44). The species can be separated from the closely related P. major Haupt, 1927 by the broad shaft of the aedeagus that bears long, laterally directed appendages at the top ( Fig. 45 View Fig ). In salt and brackish water on Bolboschoenus maritimus L. Palla. VII-X.
