Austroectobius sp.

Material examined: Female, Chile, Araucanía, Lican Ray , 2/II/2016, col. A. Vera.

Female similar to the description of previous species. It differs in having more oval general shape (body length 10.6mm); dark thoracic pigmentation; anterior margin of pronotum rounded; shorter pronotum (length 2.2mm, width 4.6mm). Abdominal color pattern as in Fig. 1f View FIGURE 1 ; tergites darker than in A. invunche , V to VII with posterior margin largely pigmented yellow with dark spots. Spermatheca has a long rolled tube in barrel-shape ( Figs. 8a, b View FIGURE 8 ). This morphology may be complementary to the long ejaculatory duct present in males.

It is not described as a species, because the male is unknown; with more evidence it could be confirmed as a species or as part of the variability of A. invunche sp. nov.
