Measurements. BL = 6.1 mm, BW = 1.3 mm, HL/PL/EL = 1.00: 1.20: 1.50, HW/PW/EW/AW = 1.00: 1.18: 1.45: 1.20, HW/HL = 1.06, HEL/HTL = 10.41, PW/PL = 1.04, EW/EL = 1.03, ESL/EL = 0.57.
Distribution. Quedius maculiventris Bernhauer is widely distributed in mountain areas of southern China (Chongqing, Fujian, Guizhou, Hubei, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Yunnan and Zhejiang Province), at low altitudes from 550 m to 2500 m. Many of the examined specimens were collected in grassland, stacks of withered grass, leaf litter, or at the edges of creeks.
