Acrotritia refracta ( Niedbała, 1998)

Measurements. Prodorsum: length 231–260, width 170–200, height 85–95, setae: ss 92, ro 50, in 105, le 70, ex 8, mutual distance: in–in 90, le–le 55, ro–ro 35; notogaster: length 432–550, width 300–360, height 328–390; c 1 80, c 2 75, c 3 75, c p 75, d 1 65, d 2 65, e 1 75, e 2 81, h 1 85, h 2 85, h 3 80, ps 1 80, ps 2 70, ps 3 65, mutual distance: c 1– d 1 135, d 1– e 1 150, e 1– h 1 105, h 1– ps 1 85; genito-aggenital plate 145×55, ano-adanal plate 205×70.

Colour light brown; surface of prodorsum with weak longitudinal lines; one pair of long and strong lateral carinae present, with long and upward forks posterior to the level of lamellar setae; sensilla without head, covered with small spines distally; prodorsal setae robust, rigid and barbed in distal half, except exobothridial setae; notogastral setae fairly short, similar in shape as lamellar setae; vestigial setae f 1 situated ventrad to setae h 1; 9 pairs of minute genital setae present, including 1 pair of setae inserted on progenital area; 2 pairs of aggenital setae located longitudinally; all tarsi of legs monodactylous.

Material examined. China: Hainan Province: 1 adult (in alcohol, H9312L1b), Jianfengling, from leaves, Dec. 1993, leg. Chong-Hui Liao; 7 adults (in alcohol, H9405L1b), May 1994, other data same as H9312L1b; 1 adult (in alcohol, H9405L2a), same data as H9405L1b; 1 adult (in alcohol, H9405L1a), same data as H9405L1b; 1 adult (in alcohol, H940), same data as H9405L1b; 1 adult (in alcohol, LD-07-79), Wuzhishan, Shuiman Town, Hudiegu, 635 m a.s.l., from litter under reed, 13 Aug 2007, leg. Dong Liu. (Newly recorded species from China).

Remarks. Specimens from China have shorter forks of lateral carinae than the type specimen.
