Description. Male. Body small. Fastigium verticis conical, with a narrow longitudinal furrow, apex rounded ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ). Eyes spherical, projecting outwards. Apical segments of maxillary palpi longer than subapical ones, apices slightly inflated ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ).

Anterior margin of pronotum nearly straight, posterior margin rounded ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ); lateral lobes longer than high, narrowing to backward, humeral sinus indistinct ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ).

Fore coxae with 1 small spine. All femora unarmed on ventral surfaces, apices of genicular lobes of hind femora obtusely rounded. Fore and middle tibiae ventrally with 4 internal and 5 external pairs of spines and 1 pair of apical spines; tibial tympana open on both sides, ovoid. Hind tibiae with 27–30 internal spines and 25–30 external spines on dorsal surfaces, ventral surfaces with 3 internal spines and 5–6 external spines, apices with 1 pair of dorsal spurs and 2 pairs of ventral spurs.

Tegmina short and slightly surpassing the posterior margin of pronotum, reaching the middle area of the 2nd abdominal tergite. Hind wings absent ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ).

Tenth abdominal tergite narrow, posterior margin slightly thickening and rolled dorsally, centre of posterior margin margin slightly concave ( Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ). Cerci robust at base, gradually narrowing, apex acute; dorsal surface with a semicircular lamellar process at base, lateral margins of the process slightly thickening, auricular in apical view; the middle of internal margins of cerci with a digitate process, curved inward and apices obtusely round; apical half slightly curved dorsally, apex acute ( Fig. 3H View FIGURE 3 ). Subgenital plate nearly triangular and basal half broader, basal margin almost straight, lateral margins narrowing toward tip and slightly curved dorsally; posterior margin narrowly round ( Fig. 3K View FIGURE 3 ). Styli slender, apices subacute, inserted on both sides of apical third on ventral surface of subgenital plate ( Fig. 3G View FIGURE 3 ).

Female. Similar in appearance to males, slightly larger than male. Lateral margins of eighth abdominal tergite with an obvious tubercle at apices ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ); lateral margins of ninth abdominal tergite with widely extending posteriorly, the apical margin nearly truncated ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ); tenth abdominal tergite narrow posteriorly with a triangular protrusion in middle ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ). Epiproct triangular, posterior margin obtusely rounded ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ). Cerci short and stout, conical, apices acute. Ovipositor short, moderately curved dorsally, stout at base, narrowing toward tip, dorsal and ventral valvulae acute at apices ( Fig. 4H View FIGURE 4 ). Subgenital plate nearly rectangular with basal half broader, basal margin with arcuate concave, baso-lateral margins angularly expanded, lateral margins obviously concave in middle and then divergence, posterior margin almost straight, the latero-apical angles rounded ( Fig. 4I View FIGURE 4 ).

Coloration. Body brown. Eyes dark brown. Antennal socket and internal margins of basal two segments of antennae black, flagellum with brownish ring at apical area of each segment. Dorsal surface of head with four longitudinal black brown stripes, the external stripes fine and extending to the inside of antennal socket, inner longitudinal stripes wide and fused at the apices of fastigium verticis. Disc of pronotum with a longitudinal black brown stripe on both sides, which reaching the middle of metazona. Apices of femora and tarsi black brown. Abdominal tergite dark brown on both sides, sternites brown.

Measurements (mm). BL: ♂ 8.1 – 8.7, ♀ 7.4 – 9.1; PL: ♂ 3.6 – 3.7, ♀ 4.0 – 4.1; TL: ♂ 2.1 – 2.2, ♀ 1.8 – 2.1; HFL: ♂ 8.1 – 8.5. ♀ 8.7 – 9.0; OvL: 3.6 – 4.7.

Material examined. Holotype: male, Tianpeng, Funing , Yunnan, July 23, 2021, coll. by Wei Bin and Xun Bian . Paratypes: 7 males and 7 females, the other information as holotype. Other specimens: 19 males and 13 females, the other information as holotype.

Distribution. Yunnan (Funing).

Discussion. The species resembles Phlugiolopsis breviproceris , but differs in the following aspects: a) dorsal process of male cerci curved, the apical half slender; b) female subgenital plate wider.

Etymology. Named according to the male cerci having a curving dorsal process on the dorsal margin.
