Etymology

This species is named ‘ longigaster ’, which means elongated metasoma in Latin. The name is treated as noun in apposition.

Diagnosis

This species is distinct from all others due to the combination of the following character states: a finely reticulate mesoscutellum, a smooth triangular metascutellum which is anteriorly weakly punctate and a predominantly smooth lateral propodeal area.
