Diagnosis. Small (about 2.7 mm length) and dark brown. Postcranium with grey pruinescence. Thorax pyramidal, dark brown to black, scutum very high and pointed, two times the height of mesopleuron, with reddish brown pruinescence; prosternum narrow. Legs dark brown, except tibiae yellow; hind femur with three elongate AV setae. Wing hyaline, pterostigma inconspicuous; apex of cell r1 narrowed.

Geographical distribution. Peru, Brazil (Amazonas) ( Fig. 122 View FIGURE 122 ).

Comments. Some specimens with fore and mid tibiae and a median ring on hind tibia dark yellow.

This species is easily differentiated from all known species of Syneches with high pyramidal scutum by the yellow tibiae, scutum lacking gray pruinescence on the pre-scutellar disc, wing hyaline with apex of cell r1 narrowed and male terminalia with small apical projection at epandrial lamella.
